12 -15 weeks

A little catch up….
So after our last ultrasound at ORM about a month ago, I had blood drawn to check my levels and begin to decrease on the meds! I was so happy to hear that the night before had been my last Progesterone In Oil injection!!! I just had three more delestrogen injection the following week. It is so nice to be ALL DONE with the meds!!! I was retaining so much water and so bloated! I can actually wear my regular jeans again! Crazy!

I have never been one to take belly pictures. ESPECIALLY in a mirror!  But this isn't for me… This is ALL for M&M and helping make this journey as close to home as possible!!

M&M shared the news with their girls after our last appointment at ORM and they are so excited! It just warms my heart! I got to meet them on Skype and it was so sweet! Although they only speak Hebrew, you can see the joy on their faces! I stood up and showed them my growing belly! After stopping the meds its not nearly as puffy but its getting bigger and bigger every week! It just made me so excited to see the girls faces when they hold their little siblings for the first time!

I have felt so very blessed this entire journey! It has been amazing!!! I am so excited to announce that I will be traveling to Israel in just short of 3 weeks!!! I get to spend a week with M&M and their beautiful daughters! Traveling around, meeting family and friends, seeing Jerusalem and beautiful historic sites! What a dream come true! I CAN NOT WAIT!! And to top it off - my friend Stacie will arrive while I am there to visit her two surro-families!! So SO EXCITING!!

Today marks 15 weeks & 4 Days into the pregnancy! We had our first trimester screening and a special requested blood draw to test the genetics of the babies. We got the results last week and my blood work was very strong and the Genetic Counselors have no concern whatsoever. The babies are healthy!!!! The test is truly fascinating! They were able to test for gender and we for sure know that one of the babies is a BOY!! My guess since our first ultrasound, Baby A -Girl and Baby B -Boy! We find out just before I leave on June 2nd if its boy/girl or boy/boy twins! I am so thrilled for them! I know as every parent we just want to make sure the babies are healthy! But I was also hoping to deliver them a boy in this journey with already having three girls of their own!

I have began to feel more than just those little flutters! Almost half way!! I cant believe it….

love,
Ashley Dawn
