9 Weeks

Ultrasound Day!!!

Today marks 9 weeks and 5 days into the pregnancy. It really is going by fast! Just a couple more weeks and we are out of the first trimester!!! Babies look AMAZING! They were moving so much during the ultrasound. It was so fun to see the little feet and hands. Baby B waved to us! M&M were able to Skype in and watch. They are absolutely thrilled!!!

Are you ready for the sweetest little video of our ultrasound today?! {M&M Ultrasound video}
I cried… but I can blame it on the hormones!! Life is just a miracle and I am just beyond blessed to be a vessel for this WONDERFUL, SUPPORTIVE and AMAZING family!

The last few weeks have been challenging as the nausea kicked in. Some days nothing helped ward it off and other days, if I ate constantly I would be able to avoid it. (Extra pounds here we come!) Some days I had the energy to work out in the morning which helped give me a boost of energy to accomplish tasks at home but it always caught up with me in the evening. I love my essential oils though. Peppermint diffusing by me has been life changing! But this week I am starting to see the nausea decrease drastically so hopefully this is the tail end of it all!

Naps are a daily routine! I try to get 30 mins to an hour in while my 22month old takes her 2+ hour nap. Luckily during one of these last few weeks was Spring Break and my sister was able to take my oldest out so I could nap the entire afternoon a few days! My sister in-law also took her for a sleepover one night which was very helpful! It was just what I needed that week to Rest&Relax!

Last week I met with a Genetic Counselor to discuss possible non invasive screenings to make sure the babies are at a low risk for any abnormalities. Technology is just fascinating and it was very informative. Hoping these tests can help avoid a double amniocentesis and get the peace M&M need that these babies are strong and healthy! I met with my Dr yesterday and he was so excited for the family and for our journey.  I teared up because it meant so much to have his support being a member of the Mormon faith as well. I have the best Dr taking care of these precious little babies!!

My husband has been THE best supporter in all this. Not everyday does someone thank him for being willing to take on this journey. It takes a man to work all day and then come home to a wife who can't get off the couch to help with the kids, come home to dishes in the sink and dinner not ready. He hasn't complained once. He comes home, makes dinner, takes the kids outside to play and helps put them to bed. He is the rock in all this! I am so beyond grateful for him and his unconditional love!

I have an amazing support system and grateful for the friends that have helped out these last few weeks. I couldn't keep up with everything around the house and it has made a huge difference not just for me but for my husband as well! So thank you THANK YOU!

Stacie had delivered this sweet Mommy Box a few weeks ago! Filled with all sorts of fun stuff! So incredibly thoughtful! We also had our shirts made and they are super comfy!! I can't imagine doing this journey without her friendship! She is the best #surrosister!!!

Today I will hear back from the blodd work done today at ORM and hopefully we will be able to stop the injections and meds this week!! EEEEK!!!

Next appointment is April 30th!!!
